How do I check in?
- Unlock the car using this app from the dashboard (follow the link sent to you via text).
- The car key is in the center console (in pink leather pouch). Keep the key card with you at all times during your trip, even if you have the Tesla app.
- Upload necessary photos in the Turo app:
- Selfie with your driver’s license
- Pics of all sides of the car
- Odometer and charge level
Don’t leave the parking lot until you’ve uploaded the pictures otherwise you may not be covered by insurance.
Where do I pick up and drop off the car?
Crowne Plaza SFO parking lot:
1177 Airport Blvd, Burlingame, CA +1 (650) 342-9200

There is a front lot and a back lot behind the building. We use the front lot almost exclusively. We will let you know if the car is in the back lot.
Airport Shuttle Bus Schedule
This is the schedule for the airport shuttle.
What does the shuttle look like?
Are pets allowed?
Pets are not allowed in the vehicle. If you asked for permission there may be special circumstances but even then the pet must be kept in a crate.
You could be subject to a $150 cleaning fee if signs of a pet are in the vehicle.

Car Break-ins
Unfortunately, car break-ins are very common in San Francisco Bay Area. I don’t recommend using street parking because of that. If you do find yourself using street parking, fold the seats down to show there is nothing in the back seat or the trunk. If it is not raining, you could even leave the back windows open or ajar to show thieves there is nothing inside.
Tolls
The car’s license plate is registered with Fastrak. You will receive an invoice after your trip through Turo for toll fees.
The HOV lanes on the 101 are pay-per-use and will be invoiced with your Fastrak tolls.
Other HOV lanes, watch the signs for rules.

Parking Pass
Parking is prepaid at the Crowne Plaza Hotel parking lot, so you do not have to pay for parking. If the gate is open, go right through. If there is a parking attendant tell the parking attendant that you are a Turo guest, and they will let you right through. No need to get a ticket.
EV Charging to 150 miles
You will receive the car with at least 150 miles of charge and should return it with at least 150 miles of charge. This is designed to reduce charging times for you, as charging above 50% is much slower.
Tesla has a vast Supercharging network and you can easily find a charger on your way: https://www.tesla.com/findus
There is a Supercharger just 0.6 miles from the lot. It is at 150 Anza Blvd.
